ABOUT THE NEVADA NORTH CYCLING LEAGUE

Building Community Through Cycling

The Nevada North Cycling League mission is to foster community through cycling. As part of the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA), Nevada North offers a variety of programs that extend beyond competitive racing, such as GRiT, which aims to increase female participation, Adventure for expanding cycling experiences, and Teen Trail Corps that encourages stewardship and advocacy of local trails. These programs highlight Nevada North’s commitment to responsible and active community members.

A Local Chapter of NICA

The National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to developing interscholastic mountain biking programs for student-athletes across the United States. Founded in 2009, NICA supports the growth of youth cycling through comprehensive programs that emphasize inclusivity, safety, and skill development. With a mission to build strong minds, bodies, and character, NICA provides training and certification for coaches, organizes competitive events, and fosters a community that encourages healthy lifestyles and lifelong participation in cycling.
